PoolTime

Privacy Policy

Effective June 4, 2026

PoolTime (the Service, located at pooltime.io) is operated by PoolTime Technologies LLC(we, us, our). This policy explains what information we process when you use the Service and how we handle it. The consumer Service has no user accounts and is designed to collect as little information as possible. When you submit a lead through a pool professional’s PoolTime widget, we also process the contact details you provide, as described in “Leads submitted through a pool professional’s widget” below.

Information we process

  • Locations you choose. When you search a place or draw a pool on the map, the coordinates are sent to our servers and to our data providers in order to compute your sunlight forecast. We do not link these coordinates to your identity and do not use them to build a profile of you.
  • Contact details you submit. If you use a pool professional’s PoolTime widget and submit the lead form, the name, email address, phone number, and pool location you provide are sent to us and shared as described in “Leads submitted through a pool professional’s widget” below. We collect these only when you choose to submit the form.
  • On-device preferences. We use your browser local storage to remember settings such as your pool elevation and whether you have seen the introduction. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
  • Technical data. Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider automatically receive your IP address and basic request metadata. We use the IP address transiently to enforce rate limits and protect the Service against abuse.
  • Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

Leads submitted through a pool professional’s widget

Pool professionals (for example, pool builders) can embed PoolTime on their own website or on other sites. If you submit the lead form in one of these widgets, the contact details and pool location you enter are shared with the following recipients so your inquiry can be answered:

  • The pool professional whose widget you used. We forward your inquiry to that business so they can contact you about your pool. They handle your information under their own privacy practices, as an independent recipient.
  • HubSpot— our CRM provider, which stores the lead on our behalf as a processor.
  • Resend— our transactional email provider, which, as a processor, delivers your sun report to you and the lead notification to the pool professional.

We use this information only to deliver and follow up on the inquiry you submitted. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

We share the minimum information necessary to deliver the Service with the following providers, each under its own privacy terms:

  • Google Maps Platform (Solar API) for building, terrain, and solar data — Google Privacy Policy.
  • MapTiler for base map tiles and address search — MapTiler Privacy Policy.
  • Open-Meteo for cloud-cover forecasts — Open-Meteo Terms.
  • Vercel for hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
  • Upstash for rate-limit and usage counters.
  • HubSpot, our CRM processor, for leads submitted through a partner widget (see above).
  • Resend, our transactional email processor, for the sun report and partner lead notification (see above).

We do not sell your information and do not share it for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

PoolTime does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use only browser local storage for the preferences described above.

Data retention

We do not maintain consumer user profiles. Transient technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and reliability and are then discarded or aggregated. Leads submitted through a partner widget are retained as the partner’s business records and to provide the Service; you can ask us to delete a lead using the contact details below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA or United Kingdom under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA and CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Children

PoolTime is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

International processing

We operate from New Jersey and use providers that may process information in the United States and other countries.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown above.
